I am going through the IO guide

Step by step description
This sections contains an example of how to attach an I/O system to Proview.

I have added a new Class as described in the manual and I may have missed something.

When I open my project volume I get a warning that the new Global class volume does not exist in the project database

The new class shows up under AllCasses but I cannot select it for the Node object.

"Select a class" shows up in the help text at the bottom





Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong?

You have to activate Functions/Update classes in the root volume configurator menu.

The IO system step by step guide talks about the environment variable $pwrp_src.

>echo $pwrp_src is not defined. Where is $pwrp_src?

>echo $pwrp_obj yields /pwrp/x86_64_linux/obj

I have compiled other project c code into obj files and placed them in
/usr/pwrp/hscada55/bld/x86_64_linux/obj/

I assume I can do the same thing, compile the new IO system c code into obj manually and then place the obj file in /usr/pwrp/hscada55/bld/x86_64_linux/obj/.

$pwrp_src is replaced by $pwrp_appl, but obviously not in the IO guide...

That's okay I have all winter to look through it and learn.
